The Bagnall Project

The former Bagnall Centre for Integrated Healthcare is a catalyst for Oasis to embark on an ambitious project in Chesham, as part of the charity’s new direction and plans for expansion. Offering 6,000 sq. ft over three floors, and with a range of rooms for different purposes, this gift is accelerating their mission to make a significant positive difference to local communities.

Through collaboration and new initiatives, they are expanding their service provision by delivering training, employability and education courses, as well as a variety of groups, courses and sessions promoting good mental health and wellbeing, supporting the lives of people within the community. They take a holistic approach to people’s health and wellbeing, and offer a social prescribing model as a key part of their delivery, engaging people in their services whilst also connecting people with other community groups and services.

Improving an individual’s health and wellbeing is the core purpose of what they are doing at the Bagnall. In addition to the range of different projects mentioned below, they also plan to offer specialised courses aimed at improving wellbeing, and targeting specific groups on certain days. To support these plans they will be starting to provide #MindfulnessMonday – offering Mindfulness taster sessions in the morning, structured Mindfulness sessions in the afternoon followed by a Yoga class in the Studio. On Tuesdays they offer #TransformationTuesdays a weekly Recovery Festival for anyone in recovery – be it recovery from mental health, recovery from substance misuse, recovery from loneliness and even recovery from Covid – pop in and see what happening, there is a lot to choose from.
