Mel Francis is the Founder of Neuroinclusive HR and she joined us as guest speaker for our members’ online meeting in July 2025.
Mel Francis is a leading figure in neuroinclusive HR, with significant experience across the public, private, and non-profit sectors. As Director of Neurodiversity at Work for Do-IT Solutions, Mel plays a vital role in helping organisations embrace neurodiverse talent and create truly inclusive workplace cultures.
Her work is underpinned by deep personal insight. As a proud mum to a neurodivergent son, Mel’s lived experience fuels her passion to drive meaningful change. Her professional journey into neurodiversity began under the mentorship of Professor Amanda Kirby, a global expert in the field, and led her to become a qualified neurodiversity practitioner.
Mel now supports organisations to embed neuroinclusive practice throughout the employee lifecycle – from recruitment and onboarding through to performance and progression. She regularly speaks, trains, and consults with businesses, using tools like the Do-IT Profiler to help individuals and teams better understand their strengths and challenges.
Mel’s influence spans both strategic policy and day-to-day practice. She is known for combining expert HR knowledge with a warm, human-centred approach – empowering leaders to recognise and support different ways of thinking, learning, and working.
Her work is widely followed across the HR community, with regular contributions to webinars, podcasts, and thought leadership. Mel is committed to changing the narrative around neurodiversity in the workplace – not as a challenge to be managed, but a strength to be celebrated.
